Try changing the input mask of the control to
09:00\ >LL;0

I have several controls on my Access 2002 form that
display a time value only. The date format is set to short
time so that the display is correct. But when the user
attempts to edit the time, the date value (1/1/1900) is
displayed. How do I suppress that so that only the time
shows anytime? In these particular fields, I would never
want to see the associated date.

I tried the input mask but it produces the error
"The value you entered is not appropraite for the input mask...
after entering something like: 7:3
Thanks! SMK

My computer displays 10:35 PM. The input mask I gave
requires this same type entry. Exactly what format do you
want your time to be displayed and to be updated?

Time formats
Long Time Example: 5:34:23 PM.
Medium Time Example: 10:34 PM.
Short Time Example: 17:34.

Time Input mask formats
Long Time Example: 99:00:00 >Lt
Medium Time Example: 09:00 >LL
Short Time Example: 00:00
