New to this so here's my stupid question: I have a spreadsheet of addresses and I can't get display the full 5 digits for those zip codes starting with a zero. I type the "0" but it is "corrected" automatically by dropping the zero. How do I change this preference to stop this?

There are several options, but what you're running into is that the program
recognizes a "numbers-only" entry as a value & values in most language
structures don't support leading zeroes - they're meaningless.

Common methods are:

In Format>Cells - Special select Zip Code or Zip+4, or
Type an apostrophe (') first when entering a zip code, or
[Least preferable] Pre-format the cells as Text.
