displayed differently in print or view

my friend is working on his resume.. and he wants to be able to display
some words in white; if it's being displayed in word.. but if it's
printed he wants the words to show up in black.

I could do this via an Access Report in about 2 seconds; i just can't
find anything similiar in Word..

I could probably do this in a macro; but i really don't want to send
out word docs that contain macros... with all the security prompts and
all that

thanks

Uh, what do you mean display some words in white? Wouldn't white (on a
white background) be invisible? What is he REALLY trying to achieve here?

Does he know that most printers can be overridden to print EVERYTHING in
black? If has some words a different color and wants everything printed in
black, use Print... instead of Print. Then use the properties dialog to
select Print Everything In Black.

You can probably get to this through your printer options, also.

hes got a label on his resume.. it's a white background on the resume
itself.. the CELL if i can call it that-- from this table-- has a gray
background.

he claims that it looks better on screen if it's a white background..
and I think that it just looks like crap when it's printed.

I just wish that word was more like Access :)
where we had a 'displaywhen' property.. so then i'd have 2 copies of
the label; one that showed on 'print only' and one that showed on
'display only' or whatever the verbage is
