Displaying a count of unread messages in Mail Views

I created several own Mail Views in addition to default ones. Unlike Inbox or Junk E-mail folders that display the number on unread messages next to them, I cannot find a way to do the same for Mail Views. I would like to quickly see who's email I have not read yet based on my own Mail Views. Any suggestions will be appreciated

I haven't tried using views, but I have several rules set up that move new
mail to folders On My Computer when it arrives. Those folders do show the
unread count. Would that approach achieve what you're trying to accomplish
with the views?

Ed, Thanks, it worked.

My question is why then would you have views and folders? What are the distinct differences other than Views not displaying unread messages? I'd appreciate some education on this one.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I've been offline for a couple of days.

I'm glad the solution worked.

Folders in Entourage are like folders in the Mac OS X finder: a place to
store things. Views are a way to look at information that may be in several
different folders. Views do not actually store the messages; they just let
you look at messages stored in various folders.

For more information, go into Help>Entourage Help and look for
About folders
and
About views
