Is there a simplified way to get the page number to
display a period (i.e. 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.5) ?
I found in the page number Format window, how you can
select under the "Include chapter number" the (.)
separator option. But doing it this way forces you to
setup an "outline" and define a chapter number.
I would like a simpler method to get the result I need. I
don't need the dynamic chapter numbering, I just need a
preset number like "4." followed by the current page
number.
The reason I want a simplified method is that I need to
show this method to a user who is not completely
comfortable with using Word.
Your help is much appreciated!
