Displaying characters on laptop

I currently use Visio 2003 on both my office desktop (Compaq) and my
laptop (Gateway) everything works fine except text on the laptop:
Unless I zoom to 200-400% (depending upon text size) all I see is a
grayed area. The text is there. I see it if I zoom. if I copy and
past the figure into another application (Word or Powerpoint) the text
displays correctly.

Does anyone know if the problem is due to a Visi0o setting or a laptop
limitation?

menu Tools -> Options
tab View
in the 'Greek text under' box set the value to 4 point or similar.
