I am currently creating a database diagram using the "Entity Relationship"
stencil in Visio 2007 and would like some way to display the check
constraints I've created, somewhere on the diagram. As the product exists out
of the box, check constraints are only visible if you are running Visio,
select an entity, and click the Check category. But I would like to show them
on the diagram itself, either as part of the entity or in a separate area
(for example, as a smart-shape which looks like a table, with three columns:
table name, constraint name, and constraint expression). Can this be done,
and if so could someone give me guidance on how to go about that? I think I
can figure out how to create a smart-shape, but I don't see how I can
retrieve the check constraints that have been created.
Thanks.
