Displaying Desktop Alerts

John

Hello, this is my first ever post on Outlook so bear with me.:) I would
like to have a desktop alert set up in my outlook 2003 so when an email comes
into my inbox it appears on my desktop.
I have looked at this and done the following;
gone to tools, options, email options, advanced email options, and have
ticked the boxes for,
Play a sound
Briefly change the mouse curser
Show and envelope......
Display a new mail desktop alert.
I have also looked at the desktop alert settings and have this set to 7
seconds to show the alert and 20% transparency.
I have clicked ok on 2 of the screens but when it gets to the option screen
apply is grayed out, so I cant apply this?
I also have norton 2005 internet security installed and incorporated this
intop outlook for the anti spam.
Is it Norton playing up? Or have I done something wrong in the settings?
Hope someone can help me so I can view these alerts on my desktop.
Many Thanks

The Apply button is greyed out because you already confirmed your Desktop
Alert settings at a lower level.
