Displaying HTML emails in Entourage 2004

Hi,

I've been asked to look into a problem several colleagues have reported regards displaying HTML emails in Entourage. I'm no expert but on a PC, in Outlook 2003 they display fine but on a Mac (OS X 10.4.9) with Entourage 2004 (11.3.6 (070618)) they don't display correctly. If the email has HTML code and text just the text is displayed and you can move the mouse cursor over the email and see all the hotlinks. There seems to be loads of posts regards this but I get the impression 'that's the way it is in Entourage'. I ran auto-update on a Mac and it patched it up to 11.3.9 but didn't fix this problem. Has anyone else had this problem and is there an actual fix?

I've been asked to look into a problem several colleagues have reported
regards displaying HTML emails in Entourage. I'm no expert but on a PC, in
Outlook 2003 they display fine but on a Mac (OS X 10.4.9) with Entourage 2004
(11.3.6 (070618)) they don't display correctly. If the email has HTML code and
text just the text is displayed and you can move the mouse cursor over the
email and see all the hotlinks. There seems to be loads of posts regards this
but I get the impression 'that's the way it is in Entourage'. I ran
auto-update on a Mac and it patched it up to 11.3.9 but didn't fix this
problem. Has anyone else had this problem and is there an actual fix?

Entourage 2004 didn't deal as well with font size from Window's users, but
the new fonts have been optimized in Entourage 2008. I've always been able
to use HTML from a PC user. It could be the way the messages are composed.
You can send me one (forward as attachment) off list and I'll see how it
shows for me.

My biggest gripe with HTML is that it's usually too small for me to see. I
much prefer plain text where I set my font size. It's also easier to reply
to parts of a message than HTML.

Please do not change the subject. I use the subject in a rule so the email
does not get lost in my Junk folder.

Jolly Roger:

I've posted the screen shots as you asked:

First image is the email viewed on a PC (Outlook 2003). Second is same email viewed on a Mac (Entourage 2004) with the 'Display complex HTML in messages' option turned off. Third is the same email with 'Display complex HTML in messages' option turned on.
