Displaying keyboard shortcuts

P

Peter

Good day everyone.

Is there a way to display keyboard shortcuts in places they typically
wouldn't be displayed, like in a right click menu. I use a variety of
programs at work in addition to the office suite, and I know many shortcuts,
even many of the three key combinations, but alas....I do not remember them
all. Clicking the mouse in combination with shift and/or alt to display a
keyboard shortcut over a menu choice would be a good feature for this user.

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately since "keyboard shortcuts" and "hot keys" can be assigned
most anywhere and everywhere by numerous methods, there is one "single
convenient method" to display assignments.

Should be "there is NO single convenient"

Hi Peter,

For Word, you can get a list of the current keyboard shortcuts. In the 'ask a question here' box type 'print a list' to get to the
'how to steps'.

To see if a particular command in a Word right click menu has a keyboard shortcut assigned or to add one you can right click, then
use Alt,ctrl and the + symbol on the numeric keypad to get the 'cloverleaf' (mac) cursor then click it on the command of interest in
the right click menu.

Thank you, as well. The Ctrl+Alt++ was what I was after. I certainly will
be sampling what it does in other office programs!
