Displaying Project ID in MSP Client/Server View

We are running both PWA and Client/Server MSP in our company's environment.
Why is it that we can see the Project ID in PWA but not in the Client/Server
version? The "Open Project" list in Client/Server appears in alphabetical
order by project name, but the project number is not listed anywhere. Is
there a way to make the Project ID's show in Client/Server? Even if it can't
be made to display the ID's, is there some way to at least retrieve the ID
within Client/Server? Can a field be added to Project Information? As a
Portfolio Administrator, I create a new projects in Client/Server. Once I
save them though I have to go over to PWA to get the project number. It
would be great if I had a way of getting this number without having to go
back and forth between the two versions.

I'm not a techie so please forgive if I haven't used the right terminology.
Can anyone help me with this issue and if so can you explain it to me so I
can tell our MSP Administrator how to do it?

Thanks!

Can you tell us exactly which view in PWA is displaying the "Project ID" field?

This may be a custom field defined in your environment, in which case you
could insert the field into one of your Project Pro views.

Hi Reid,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry it took me awhile to get back, I've been out
sick.

The Project ID number appears in almost all of our PWA views. It is always
labled "Enterprise Project ID". The ID is auto-generated by MSP whenever we
create and save a new project to the server. Can you tell me some way we
can obtain this number without having to go into PWA? Can I add a field to
the Project Information area in Project? How would it populate - would we
still need to save and then go back into the Project Info (in MSP, not PWA)
to see it?

Thanks,
Smittygal

Reid,

I just tried to create a new view to see what my options were for ID's. Two
available fields come up - "Enterprise Project ID" and simply "ID". Not sure
if these are one and the same? These are not custom fields, at least I
don't believe so - they appear to be available by default along with all the
other basic fields (Project Name, Start, Finish...)

Hope this helps. Thanks again!

S.
