Displaying right-to-left text

I receive .pps files in Hebrew (right-to-left) from friends in Israel. The
Hebrew words appear correctly, i.e., the letters are right to left within the
word, but the word order is incorrect - the words appear left-to-right. An
example in English would be "left to right appear should sentence This"

I have searched for any way to change the encoding with no luck. Does
anyone have any ideas?

Powerpoint 2004 11.2.3 on Mac OS 10.4.6.

Try Keynote to see if it can do it - Tiger is supposed to be able to do
right-to-left now. When Office 2004 was released, Panther was only just
being released at the same time, and it could not do so, so Office had no
Unicode hooks to get into.

Paul,

Thanks - yes, Keynote works! But the parentheses come out backwards... if
you'd like to see the presentation (about Ephraim Kishon), email me at

Cheers,
