I need an option in "Search" for Word, Excel and Publisher, that
allows that "a" does not only match "a" and "A" but "ä, Ä, ã, Ã, á, Á,
à, À ...".
I need this for Arabic script, where "ta, tha" and "nun, ya" in
Initial and Middle position look like "ba" -- only the dots are
different. This letters are not normally looked as variants of "a",
but historically they are. In Unicode there is now "archaic Arabic
letter dotless ba" and "ba, ta, tha, nun, ya, Persian yeh". If I check
a box "disregard dots" any of these in the search text should find any
of the group.
