I am EXTREMELY dissapointed. I bought Office for apple, to install on two of our business computers, and now it only says i cant do it on both. I am not able to return it, because i bought it a long time ago...I am extremely dissapointed that that is not pointed out on the box, or if it is, very un-clearly.

Let's see.

You bought *one* copy of some software and you're "EXTREMELY dissapointed" that
you can't figure out a way to violate the licensing and install it on *two* machines?

I'm sure many here will shed a tear for you.

Uh, this is standard in the software industry. Paying for a piece of
software generally lets you use it for one person on one machine.

Rather than return it, which makes no sense, do the right thing and buy
a second copy.

Even Photoshop will let you activate twice before it says anything. Hell,
even Vista lets you activate more than once.

That doesn't make it legal.

This is not activation. Office for Mac has no activation. You enter the CD
key when you install. You can install Office multiple times on several
computers. This does not make it legal. The EULA states you can use on one
desktop and one laptop legally but you can't use them at the same time. As
long as they are not networked then you could use multiple copies.

If you don't need Exchange support, then get the Home & Student version that
comes with 3 CD Keys that can be used at the same time on a network.

This discussion started with installing on business computers. Legally you
cannot use the Home & Student version on a business computer. This person
should contact Microsoft to get a proper business license that allows for
installing on multiple computers.

When you buy software it's YOUR responsibility to read the license
agreements and understand exactly what the software includes.
