Distance between paragraphs suddenly 10 points

Maybe after the latest update in each new document the distance after
each paragraph is 10 pts. That should be 0.
Strange is: when I open the Normal file in the User folder everything is
ok!
So how can I correct this behaviour?

Hi Jan;

The 12.1.0 (SP1) update removed the para spacing & recent updates have not
restored it. Based on your limited description I believe you may be looking
at the wrong Normal (no extension). What Word 2008 uses is Normal.dotm which
isn't in the "User" folder & depending on certain variables you may have
more than one. If all is as it should be otherwise this should fix it...

When you launch Word just go to the Styles group on the Formatting Palette
(or Format> Style), modify the para style called "normal" to remove the
spacing if necessary & check the Add to Template box. That should resolve
the issue once & for all.

If it doesn't it may suggest that your Normal.dotm is damaged or that
something is preventing it from being updated. In that case see this page:

Thanks, you are right. I found the other Normal file in the Application
Support folder. So after deleting it everything was normal. In fact
Spotlight didn't notice that file. I should use more often the operators
in Spotlight.
