distibution list double up

When I send an email to a distribution list, it goes twice. The second time
it is sent 15 minutes later but does not show up in the sent file. I have
tried deleting my list and starting again. Any suggestions?

is this a MS Project question or an Outlook one?
if Outlook try
microsoft.public.outlook
