Distributing ADPs to users

I would like to create an access data project using
Access 2000 using SQL Server 2000 as the backend. I then
would like to distribute my frontend to the users but I
want to prevent them from making changes to my ADP.

If i understand correctly, all i need to purchase is the
Microsoft office 2000 Developer software, and install the
access-runtime on every users PC. That way, the users can
run my ADP but not make any changes to my code.

Just looking for confirmation that the above is the
correct way to proceed.

Appreciate your comments.

Yes, however I usually distribute an "ADE" compiled version. It adds a
little bit more protection from users being able to change things.
