Distributing rows evenly in tables

I am unable to find any menu that designates distribute columns or rows evenly in a table. I'm using PPT 2004. It seems to be missing, or I'm looking in the wrong place.

Unfortunately PPt's table features have always (IMHO) left something to be
desired - control of column width & row height being just the beginning

What helps is to avoid changing individual heights & widths in the first
place unless that's what you prefer to do. Instead of grabbing the gridlines
to make a change use the hollow square "handle" on the frame that appears
around the table. When you use the one center bottom, for example, all rows
are adjusted simultaneously.
