Distribution List and categories

I would like to assign all users in a catagory to a distribution list. Is
there an easy way to do this?

Create a new, temporary contact folder and copy all of the contacts into it
that you want to bring into the distlist. Then open the dist list, click on
"Select members", switch to the temp contact folder and select all of its
items.

The reason is: I want to send an email (bcc) to all contacts in a category.

No. But the real question is, why would you ever want to? DL's are
notoriously unreliable and getting worse all the time. You are far better
off to use Categories instead of DL's.

Then Cut and paste from To: to BCC. Or go ahead and use Michael's method to
create and enjoy a DL. Good luck with that.
