Distribution List error message

I've created a DL by using contacts in my address book When I try to send it,
I get the message: "550 Your message does not conform to RFC2822 standard".
It has this message for every email address in my DL. What am I doing wrong.

Impossible to say. We have no idea what you did. Your post contains no
relevant information. Next time, please post your Outlook version, mail
transport type, how you created the DL, where these Contacts reside (BTW,
there is no such thing as an address book in Outlook), and whether you can
send an email to any of these recipients individually. Do these recipients
have valid, resolved email addresses?

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007 (12.0504.5000) SSP2 MSO(12.0 6425.1000). My
mail transport type is smtp. I set up my DL by going to File-New-Distribution
List. Then I clicked on Select members and added them from my contacts.

Most likely, one or more of the recipients does not have a valid email
address or your DL is corrupt.
