Distribution List issue

Admin assistant has a distribution list that people keep "disappearing" off
of. She say that she can send a meeting request to the distribution list
only to discover that only some of the people on the list actually got the
e-mail.
Using Outlook 2002
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
