Distribution List Problems in Outlook 2003

Since upgrading to Outlook 2003 and switching to Microsoft Exchange Server
none of my distribution lists works. The error message I receive states:
"Cannot perform the requested operation. The command selected is not valid
for this recipient. The operation failed.

I have tried deleting and recreating the list but that changes nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas?
