Distribution List

Our old email package would allow you to select a
distribution, open it and remove names of those you did
not want that particular email to go to. When I try to
select a distrubtion list and want to remove those that I
do not want that mailing to go to, it wants to permanently
modify my distrubtion list (which I don't want to do).
Does anyone know how to select a distrubtion list and then
tell Outlook that you want the email to go to everyone on
the list except the couple you would like to omit?
