distribution lists in exchange

I just switched from Outlook to Exchange. I had been sharing a number of
distribution lists with others in my office. I was able to copy all but two
lists over. These two lists contain over 500 emails each. I cannot seem to
add more than 135 or so into these distribution lists. Is there a rule, or
maybe somewhere in the tools area that will allow me to expand the size of
distribution lists?
