I am using Word 2000 (9.0.6926) SP3 on Windows 2k sp4. It has been very
stable for years, but over the weekend Word has started to crash on start-up
with the message;
DDE Server Window: Winword.exe - Application Error
The exception Integer division by zero (.....) occurred in the application
This leaves copies of winword running (can see this in Task Manager
Processes, although there is no sight of Winword in Task Manager
Applications.
I have attempted to repair the Office Installation by using both the 'Repair
Errors', and 'Re-install ' options. Although these went ok the problem still
persists.
Does anyone know how to diagnose this problem further? Is there any way to
put Word into a debug mode so that it logs progress? All the other office
apps work fine. I don't really want to completely re-install office.
