DIW-2002 to 2003

Can someone tell me if MS made any major (or minor) changes to the DIW from
2002 to 2003? I'm trying to learn how the DIW works for the first time and
found a tutorial on the one for 2002. The catch is: I just upgraded to 2003!
Thanks

Hi Johny,

The Database Interface Wizard of FrontPage 2003 supports ASP.net also. The
following articles might help you in understanding the features of DIW in
FP 2003.

Thanks Hari,

I have read that asp.net is replacing .asp, and I guess, .asp will soon be
gone. As far as doing any reading or studying, would your recommendation be
to just bypass .asp and go straight to asp.net?

I had been told that ASP is much easier to learn than ASP.NET unless you already di
a lot of programming. I am currently learning ASP with a book that was recommende
to me in this NG. "Beginning Active Server Pages 3.0" by Wrox which you can get o
Amazon. I understand that what you learn about ASP will assist you in learning ASP.NE
if and when you decide to do so

Hi Johhny,
it's a good book you won't go far wrong with it - another nice beginning ASP
book Active Server Pages 3 in 21 Days by Scott Mitchell. If you're in the UK
you can find a good price on both of these at 1 of my sites
http://www.bookhead.co.uk/0672318636 - ASP 3 in 21 Days
and
http://www.bookhead.co.uk/0764543636 - Beginning ASP 3

You're right that asp is reaching the end of its life, but it's probably got
another couple of years. If you haven't programmed before going straight
into asp.net will probably scare the "heck" out of you. Best to start with
asp get a few months experience then you'll be well placed to upgrade to
asp.net
