DLL error message

I have just upgraded to OSX on a eMac, also using MS Office 2004.

In Excel, when it starts up, I get an error message "Error in Loading
DLL" also, when I try to open up a file (created on a P.C.), I get this
message and it will not open up the file. I am able to open it on
another Mac with Office 2004.

Any ideas?

DLL is Dynamic Link Library. I don't know exactly what it does and I
thought that it was used only on Windoze machines. However...

If you've been running Office in OS9, it might be worthwhile to reload
it. IF Office-2004 loads like Office-X, it's a real snap (trash the
existing folder and drag the replacement folder from the CD to the HD).
Then, repair permissions (important).

If none of the above helps, my all-time favorite utility is DiskWarrior
(www.alsoft.com).
