Hi Steve,
I didn't explain myself very well on the 24th Dec. I guess I'm really
talking about 4 tables. These would be Products, Components, Order
Details and Product Details (a table like the Order Details table but
showing the Component breakdown).
The reason for having a components table is that I'm building a trophy
shop database and most trophies are comprised on many components.
A subform is fine, but I need to be able the change the componentary.
For instance, The P1 (Product) may have a default configuration of a
102Blue (Base) and a RD651G (Figurine). But the customer would
actually like a green base, so the default component for the P1 would
need to be changed to a 102Green on the Product Details table.
When I type in a Product in the Order Details table, I would like a
form that not only dlookup's the price, but can also generate multiple
lines in a Product Details Subform (it doesn't have to be a subform,
query will do).
Thanks in advance for any advise.
