DL's vs Categories Best Practice

Hi Guys, We are a non profit and send out a weekly newsletter to 1000
addresses ( broken up into 99 emails in each of 10 categories). Originally I
used categories but Outlook 2002 appeared quite slow mailing them plus I had
to manaully copy and paste all the addresses to each email so I went to a
DL.

This seems more of a nightmare especially keeping it up to date

What is the best practice? I have echange 2000 - SBS

Most of have abandoned DL's because they are fragile, buggy and too hard to
maintain. Categories would have been just as easy to use if you had just
used the By Category view to select the category header, then Actions > New
Message to Contact to send to the entire group in one step. Your other
option for similar functions are to use Contact Subfolders. You can compare
