Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I need to set up an email account on the exchange server. This account is set with a password and therefore entourage asks for one.
Is there anyway this account can be set up without needing a password as IT don't know it and there are 6 other users so we can't re set it.

Any advice?

Maybe if you setup the account manually.
In any case, if you have 6 users on the same Mac, I would simply NOT
let them all use the same user account.
Even if you don't save the password, all the already downloaded e-mails
will be visible to all. That's not how Entourage (or MacOS X ) is
designed to be used in a multi-user environment.
You're supposed to create a user account per user on the Mac.

yes I have got separate users. what I mean is I need access to an additional email account which is currently setup on the windows exchange server, I have a mac and need to be able to get emails from that account.

Then I don't really understand what the question is.
You can just setup the account to connect to the Exchange server.
Your IT can also setup the account for you (manually) even without
knowing what the password is.
