Do I have to upgrad all of my Groove users at once?

I have 17 users, and I'd like to update just a few at this time to the new
Groove 7. I read the notices about some featurs in Groove 7 will not work in
the 3.1 - but overall will it work with the messaging and shared calendar?

Hi March,
It works well with my installation, we have one user with 7 though, but
calendar and messaging work all right as well as most other tools.
