Do I have to use MS Sharepoint to use MS Groove?

MS Groove came with my copy of Office 2007, I'm trying to understand if it
would be useful to me. If I don't have to use Sharepoint it would probably be
of help.

Hi Ed,

MS Office Groove is 'team' collaboration software that has both client and server products available. You may want to visit the
Groove home page at http://office.microsoft.com/groove and try the 'See it in action' demo on that page to see if it would be of
use to you. There is also on the home page an 'Explore the details' section that includes a 'Frequently asked questions' link, that
will likely make more sense once the demo is viewed. Groove does not require the use of a MS Sharepoint server product.

You may also want to post followup questions on MS Office Groove through the links below to the Groove discusion group. :)
