Do I need a resume template for a career change?

Relocating to Jacksonville from Orlando after a medicallly based layoff means
going back to secretarial work instead of scenic painting at Disney World for
5 years. Should I explain this in a personalized cover letter and use a
resume template? Or should I avoid revealing any in-depth, personal reasons
for a career change at age 44?

This is a discussion group for Microsoft Word. Whether or not you use a
résumé template has to do with how comfortable you are with Word, but a
template could at least give you some ideas about formatting. For the other
part of the question you should be talking to a career counselor or some
such person.
