I have a dilemma can anyone help? Do I need to subscribe to AOL, netzero,
etc. in order to send e-mail through Outlook or Messages through MSN as long
as I am connected to my phone line? Will Internet Explorer allow me to use
these for e-mail?

Hi

You should have an email account and be able to connect to the internet in
order to send emails using outlook

An ISP is your gateway to the Internet.. without an ISP, you just have a
telephone service for which you need a telephone transceiver..

You must be subscribed to an ISP (Internet Service Provider) in order to
send and receive email but it needn't be AOL or NetZero. There's many ISPs,
your local phone company may offer both dialup and high speed ISP services,
your cable company may offer high speed internet services and you can look
here for more:
