Do I need the XP Service Packs when running 2003?

Hello!

When I check for updates for my Office 2003 Pro,
Microsoft recommends I update with XP SP-3. Is there any
reason to do this?

Check you Add/Remove for any Office XP programs you may still have
installed, such as FrontPage or Publisher, perhaps even Visio. If you have
them, go ahead and install the SP-3 update.

IndyTom,
If you have any programs from Office XP on your system, the update analyzer detects these and supplies you with the recommended updates.
If you choose these updates for XP, be sure to have your original installation disks at hand.
