Do i need to buy the new office version or can i download it for f

I am at school doing GNVQ ICT and i have Microsoft Office 97. I need the new
Microsoft office as at my school they have the newest version i cannot
convert my work back into 97. i would like the new office.Can i download the
update for free?

No version of Microsoft Office is free. Check with your school to see if
they offer the academic version - it is usually a fraction of the cost of
the retail package.
