Do I Need to Remove Trial Office 2007?

I have a new pc with the Vista OS and a trial Office 2007. I've not been
able to determine what version of Office 2007 other than to compare the
programs I have loaded in my Office 2007 with the various Office offerings.
I seem to have the Home and Student version as I have Excel, Powerpoint, Word
and OneNote. After trying these products, I decided to purchase and bought
from an on-line software media company. First, I'd like to know if I can
activate my trial somehow with the purchase of the software? If not, do I
need to remove what is currently on my pc before installing what I purchased?
