Do I need to run Time Zone Data Update Tool?

I'm running Outlook 2000, and I'm a little unclear on this Time Zone
Data Update Tool that Microsoft says we should run to have Outlook
support the new daylight saving rule.

Do I need to run it ONLY if I am using the calendar? Or do I need to
run it, period?

I believe if you do read on the microsoft site, you have no problem if you
have Automatic Updates enabled. I do recommend you read about your version of
Office because I did not read about what older versions requirements are.
