Continental Translations

I am hoping to make a template such as the following:-

On [insert date] at [insert time], I was at [insert location] with [insert
friends]. We visited [insert places you visited] and did [insert activites].

Now, what I would like is for when I open the document, for a serious of
questions to pop up in MS Word, for example, "insert date," "insert time,"
"insert location" etc..... and then all these fields fill in automatically.
It's similar to those website you can go to where you get asked a serious of
questions and it then automatically personalises a story for you!

I am using Office 2000.

Thanks all

No.

Are you going to use the same bit of information in several places in the
document, or is each bit a one time thing?

OK.
Now, you posted your message in two newsgroups (not the standard way of
doing things in the newsgroups by the way...). You got an answer and a lead
in the other groups that points you towards userforms (and VBA). This is not
necessary if you will be using each piece of info once. But, you may like
the interface for the user, with all the information in one dialog box.

The non VBA way involves one dialog box per piece of info.

Let me know which way you want to go.
