Do I qualify for Student/Teacher Edition

Hi,

I am trying to find out wether my I qualify for the student/teacher edition.

My wife is currently a student doing an Open University degree. I cannot see
anything that covers this sort of home study course. I have seen that I am
qualified if my wife qualifies, so the question is I guess. Does she qualify?

Does anybody know if I am qualified.

Thanks in advance.

The thing is that I am in the British Army stationed in Germany but currently
on tour in Afghanistan and so I would have to order it from somewhere like
Amazon.co.uk but as I understand it you have to purchase the product and then
send off something to Microsoft (I might be wrong though).

Thanks again

there is a student/teacher uk edition and
microsoft.com has an exclusive website.

but what i know from the states is
that microsoft activates the product
installed on the machine. The check
and balance for ensuring that a
qualifing person is entitled to purchase
the version rests upon the store.

Every single store who sells microsoft
products has an "exclusive" agreement
with microsoft, which ultimately protects
microsoft from sales leading to piracy.

Afterwards, if microsoft discovers that
the store sold a version to a non qualifing
person, the store will be held liable by microsoft.

There is no longer any proof of eligibility required prior to purchase, or
after purchase, in the UK.
I recently purchased on line from a major retailer (It was actually for use
by a student)
