Do I really need Enterprise 2007?

I loaded Office 2007 on my laptop a couple of years ago, but have never had
the need to use Enterprise. It's eating up more than 600MB of my disk space
and I'd like to uninstall it. Is there any reason I shouldn't? Will
uninstalling it have a negative effect on other Office applications, or
disable any of their features? I primarily use Word, PowerPoint, and Excel,
and have no need to set up networking capabilities.

BTW, I have the disk, and my software was legally purchased through my
company's employee purchase program.

Thanks in advance!

Are you saying you have two version of Office installed?

No. I just have the one version.

Office Enterprise does have a few programs that you would not be using and
they can be uninstalled and leave Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint still
installed. Run the setup program again from the DVD and do a custom
install. When it asks what you want to do click off the boxes for the
programs you no longer want installed. The following are all installed
using the non-custom install of Office Enterprise: Access, Communicator,
Excel, Groove, InfoPath, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word.
Pick and choose what you want and what you don't want.

Thanks. Just want to make sure I understand, though: am I essentially
reinstalling the entire Microsoft Office suite by doing that?

No, you're not. You're uninstalling the parts you don't want.
