DO NOT MAKE A POST IN THIS NEWSGROUP

Hello,

I would strongly advise against making a post in this
newsgroup unless you want to recieve at least 50 junk
emails per day. Half of these appear to come from
microsoft who do not care about your privacy or right to
opt in to newsletters.

If you contact Microsoft they will not respond and will
continue to send you copies of the same email from all of
their departments.

At the very least do not put in your real email.

Disgruntled!

Microsoft does not harvest email addresses from the newsgroups. Any
email you got was spoofed to look like it was from MS.

You realize that all those e-mail messages you are getting that appear to be
from Micrsoft are actually e-mail messages generated by the Swen virus? You
didn't open the attachment on any of those messages, did you? If you did,
then your computer is now infected witht the Swen virus as well.

Please feel free to post messages on this newsgroup, as this is a community
of people who are helping one another to use Microsoft Project more
effectively. To protect yourself in the future, do not post any messages
using your real e-mail address. Hope this helps.

Yes, You are correct in that you will receive many
malicious emails per day if you post your actual email
address in this group.

Although the emails appear to be from Microsoft, they are
forged and not actually from Microsoft. They contain many
malicious viruses.

Agreed!! I have been getting mass junk mail daily from
various microsoft departments (upgrades, news updates,
alerts, notices), as well as a TON of returned emails due
to junk addresses entered on this post. If you don't
want the hassle of unwanted emails DO NOT POST!

Also disgruntled --

Didn't you read my previous post about these messages you are receiving?
The messages ARE NOT from Microsoft. Yes, they look and feel like Microsoft
sent them, but I can assure you that Microsoft did not! Those messages are
part of the Swen virus attack. If you have opened an attachment on any of
those messages, your computer has now been attacked by the Swen virus as
well. I'm sorry that you are disgruntled, but you should blame the real
culprit (the one who created and disseminated the virus) and not Microsoft
(who is as much a victim of the Swen virus as you are).

And no, I don't work for Microsoft, and I don't own their stock, and I don't
do work for them, either. I am a volunteer like everyone else in this
group.
