Do not put your email address when posting a message

This is a warning to all those who do not know better!

I was not receiving any junk or spam mail until over a
year ago when I made the mistake of putting in my real
email address in the "Sender's E-mail" field for this
newgroup. This is the ONLY place that I have ever given
out my email address. Ever since then I have been
inundated with junk. Most of which are obscene and very
inappropriate for work.

What gets me is that Bill Gates at his recent CEO Summit
addressed the problem of unsolicited emails and how it
conteracts some of the benefits of email...then one of his
own sites somehow feeds into this problem.

This is not an BG or MS problem, the harvesting of emails
for spam from newsgroups is one of the methods that
spammers use to harvest email addresses. The
microsoft.public.* forums are public archived and ripe
for harvesting.
