With Windows XP it is easy to lock a file folder from others viewing by "not
sharing" other users, on an individuals own hard drive that is not networked.
But if you take this file folder and move it or copy it to a network drive
the "not shared" security measures are stripped and removed from the file
folder. I have tried everything possible and can't get it to work. Is it
possible to Lock out everyone but the owner of that one file folder on a
networked drive/server?
When I go in and do this, it also locks me out with everyone else and I am
the owner of the file. I've gone in as administrator and locked out everyone
but me the owner and still I'm locked out. Can this be done?
Thank you
