Do standalone programs integrate?

If I get Office 2007 Home and Student and then get Outlook 2007 separately,
will they interact in the same way as if they were part of one single suite
such as Small Business?

Yes. The applications such as Word in Office 2007 Home and Student are the
same as in other editions of Office 2007.

Thanks. I think that answers my question. Can you just confirm that programs
bought and installed separately definitely link up with each other, for
example sending an email from within Word via Outlook if Outlook was
installed separately?

No, the integration is only partial. For instance, you cannot use themes in
Outlook as they are derived from Word. Word and Outlook must be from the
same suite.

Themes might not be that important but would I be able to send emails direct
from Word via Outlook?
