Do unused files slow down loading of website?

P

PJ Med

I have some photos in my website files that are not currently being used on
pages on my website. Each time someone keys in my website address, do all
files (both used and unused) load even though they are not on any website
page?

No.
The only files that are loaded into a visitors machine are the actual page
and any images that a page uses.

"Unlinked" files are not downloaded to a visitors computer.

.... as long as it is not so many that the file system has problems.
Organizing into folders can help, as well as managing the server file system
wisely.

Though issues like that would probably not show up until WAY after FrontPage
starts to have problems viewing folders.
