Do you have printing error with "apostrophe" punctuation mark?

I have experiencing printing error with the "apostrophe" and "smart
quotation" punctuation marks.
They will print as a "space", i.e. being omitted.
Therefore, I need to turn off the auto-correction option. And the "straight
quotation" marks are fine.
Same problem applies when I use HP and Canon printer, and Office XP and 2003.

Do you have the same problem? How to solve it?
