Do you need the Office CD to install all Office Updates?

Do you need the Office CD when you are installing all Office Updates or just
Service Packs?

Hi Sandra,

In general, the MS Installer expects to always have access
to the original installation source in case it runs into
an issue it thinks needs 'fixing'. Not all updates, not even
all SPs (the Admin full file replacement versions for example)
will always need the CD, but for safety it's a good practice to
have it accessible when updating.
