Hi gang!
I am assuming this has already been posted but since I am new to this
newsgroup, I was hoping some could explain why and maybe how to fix.
Every time we download a .doc file in Leopard 10.5.2 using Safari 3.1.2
and/or Safari 3.0.4 and Word for Office 2008 12.1.1, .dot appends to the end
of the file name converting it in such a way that when it is opened in Word,
the file name at the top defaults to Document(#) with [Compatibility Mode]
next to it.
We have to resave the file using "Save As". Rename the file. And select the
Word 97 - 2004 compatibility.
Not good!
Any one know what gives?
Thanks for your help!
