Doc. w/pilcrow that doesn't have corresponding style? What's up?

I have a Word Document that when formatting it I noticed (in Normal View)
that I had a pilcrow that had no corresponding Style... What could have
caused this and what does this mean in regards to my document stability?

You're saying that you have a paragraph that doesn't display a style in the
Style box or Styles and Formatting task pane? Or what?
